Bush Administration Proposes Mandatory ISP Record Keeping

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

WASHINGTON — The Bush Administration proposed Wednesday that all Internet service providers be required to keep records of users uploading images and videos, information they say would be valuable to fight child pornography, terrorism and other crimes. Justice Department officials met with industry representatives, including AOL and Comcast, in a private meeting to discuss why this sort of data retention is necessary, as well as find out the cost of recording user details for a span of two years. High-speed chase reaches Supreme Court

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

US Supreme Court building

After reading the following article posted on the channel 7 news Boston website, I’m more in awe of how absolutely out of hand this country is getting with frivolous law suits and what people consider their rights. This dude decided to run from the police and started a high speed chase. After one of the cops rammed him from behind the driver hit a pole. Now the driver is suing!! We are slowly becoming a country full of whiny little assholes who blame their problems on everyone else. If a suit like this is ever upheld the cops are left with no alternative but to stop pursuing ANYONE who flees at a high speed. I can see it now… let’s break the law and speed away, they can’t do anything then! Read the rest of this entry &raquo

What is it about feet?

Friday, August 18th, 2006

I’m asked this question a lot. It would seem at times that I’m into some really weird shit given the looks I get sometimes. Granted, I don’t think most people really speak openly enough to include their sexual likes and dislikes in casual conversation. So maybe the looks are simply because they’re surprised I divulged some kind of secret. So I was wondering what it is YOU like about feet and how you search the web looking for the perfect feet, thus I created a survey to find out. If you have a couple of minutes why not fill out the survey, it’s only 15 questions. If there are things that I did not asked but are important to you, please leave comments or email me. INTERNEXT – August 2006

Monday, August 7th, 2006

Having just recently started in the industry I’m trying to soak in as much information as I can. I want to learn as much as I can from those who have been through it all. I’ve found many helpful people at the various adult webmaster forums including Cozy Forums, Klixxx, Zipped Sites, AWI and Oprano. When I found out about INTERNEXT I knew this was a must for me. Here I had the chance to finally put faces with the names I’ve run across in the forums, learn some more from all the speakers at the various seminars and generally get a good feel for what the industry really is at it’s grassroots level. Was George Orwell Right?

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

Most of us have read the book 1984 by George Orwell. It depicts a life in a totalitarian world where “Big Brother” censors everyones behavior… even their thoughts. Well, any webmaster in the business today understand the impact of 18 U.S.C. § 2257. The basic premise of the argument in favor of article 2257 is to stop under age pornography. “This has nothing to do with protecting children,” Lawrence G. Walters, a Florida lawyer who represents several porn sites, said of the new regulations. “They’re trying to shut down the adult-entertainment industry with over regulation.” (Wall Street Journal article February 13, 2006 – Web Sites Fight Proof-of-Age Rules for Porn Performers) Also from the same article Jeffrey J. Douglas, chairman of the Free Speech Coalition and a criminal-defense lawyer, says the regulations accomplish “absolutely nothing.” Existing laws barring distribution of child pornography already are “sufficient incentive,” he says, to keep adult-oriented businesses from publishing images of minors. What Is Pornography?

Saturday, July 29th, 2006

Merriam-Webster defines Pornography as follows:

  1. the depiction of erotic behavior (as in pictures or writing) intended to cause sexual excitement
  2. material (as books or a photograph) that depicts erotic behavior and is intended to cause sexual excitement
  3. the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction

Firstly, I believe the word unfortunately carries a derogatory tone with it. In most conversations and writings of a professional nature, I generally prefer to say Adult Material. I do refer to Porn/Porno when speaking in a relaxed setting among friends. Kind of a ’slang’ term. I also think that as adults who enjoy “adult material,” the more we refer to it as pornography, the more we play into the hands of those who have labeled it in a negative way. The more we present ourselves in an adult and professional manner, as a whole, the more we are seen that way by the world. And in doing so remove the “taboo” from it. My First Steps

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

We all know that to get anywhere in life you have to take the first step. Your first step will always be the DECISION to make a move. Sounds simple enough but this is truly where a lot of people get hung up. This very first step is what holds people back from reaching their goals. Why? A real decision takes commitment. You must be committed to the idea. You must believe that no matter what, you will do everything in your power to succeed. Now, you can’t force this kind of determination. We will lose weight, quit smoking or whatever when we have reached a point when we tell ourselves “That’s Enough.” At that point you have already succeeded. Because with real determination some measure of success is guaranteed. It may not be exactly what you initially thought success would look like but you will make considerable strides forward. Get Off Your Ass!

Monday, July 17th, 2006

Fear. What does that mean to you? How does it impact your life? It has an affect on every single one of us in some form or another. Most people aren’t even aware of their fears. I’m not talking about being afraid of snakes or spiders. I believe the subtle fears govern our lives more than the obvious ones do. Those of us who can honestly address those fears, learn from them and subsequently grow from them, are the ones who can find at least modest success in life.

The fear of change is a major factor for many people. We fear what we don’t know, thus we either demonize it to some degree or simply stay away from it. I’ve heard that some people are afraid of success. That’s bull$#!&! I think we all want to be successful. While we all define success differently, it usually means going beyond where we are now. That’s where most of us stop. Have you ever wished you could do something other than what you’re doing right now? Of course you have. Most of us have. The question is what are you going to do about it. What’s holding you back? FEAR. Read the rest of this entry &raquo
