After watching this video I was admittedly upset and wanted to choke the shit out of John DePetro. Not for being against the porn industry, but for being such a lame, piss-ant, whiney bitch. John and anyone who comments like him are just using the argument of fighting CP to push their personal “judgments” about the adult industry and censor the work. It’s that plain and simple. They’re hiding behind an argument that almost EVERYONE in the world would agree is disturbing and should be stopped. To answer their arguments and accusations is playing on their field… which is obviously aimed at such a complete control over the adult industry that they essentially kill it. It’s a broad stroke point of view which means it’s an uninformed and uneducated point of view.

I may be giving John DePerto way too much credit. He’s probably only making this much noise because he’s a radio guy, got on TV and likes to get ratings. That’s why he wasn’t having a “discussion” in that clip. He was calling Ron out… naming all his movies (that’s interesting enough, isn’t it?), being childish and calling names. He doesn’t have the resources to logically argue the “Throw the baby out with the bath water” point of view. Ok, I know there isn’t a logical argument for it anyway, but you get my point. John isn’t worth the sweat. He’s an inconsequential part of the bigger picture.

If anyone needs to argue the merits of keeping children away from those that would do them harm, they have many issues and may need professional help. Aside from sexual predators who prey on children, there isn’t a person on the planet who would think CP is okay. The argument then is HOW to stop CP. Now, if there are any LOGICAL people out there who want to stop CP and have valid ideas on how to target CP then let’s hear them. For those who simply don’t think anyone should watch, be involved in or otherwise enjoy pornography, simply because it’s their point of view… you’re welcomed to your point of view. However, you are NOT welcomed to try and force others to follow your beliefs. That’s what the young muslim extremists do with their terror attacks. Don’t think for a minute it’s all that different because it’s not.

Let’s not forget that the push to do away with the adult industry is an attempt by G. W. Bush to appease his ultra right wing conservative benefactors. Bush, who’s simply a puppet and figure head for those that are really running the country, is a child in an adult world. He does what he’s told. When he doesn’t stick with the script is when we see the dear in the headlights look, drools all over himself and shows what a pure idiot he is. He was put into office by a group of powerful people so they can get their agenda attended too.

The Department of Justice wants to step in and require everything short of a DNA sample to prove who and how old the people are in the biz. Some things come to mind after hearing that.

#1 – As Dan Abrams pointed out…. Do the people at the DOJ have that much time on their hands? In my opinion, if they do, then it’s plainly obvious why we have so many other problems in this country.
#2 – Enforcing 18 U.S.C. § 2257 – which is a huge broad stroke already – is addressing the “age verification” of the performers.
#3 – It’s an attempt to make it look so unappealing to deal with that people will stop doing porn.
#4 – IF it’s a true, honest attempt at stopping CP and it’s the best they can come up with…. we need new people in the DOJ who have common sense and know what to do and when to do it.

I can go on for hours on end about the short comings of the government’s approach to handling the CP issue. Suffice it to say that the answer doesn’t lie in the degradation of our constitutional rights or the out and out destruction of the adult industry because other people think it’s wrong. It lies in bringing together level headed people to open dialog and address the ISSUE of CP and not attacking the industry with a hidden agenda.
