Having just recently started in the industry I’m trying to soak in as much information as I can. I want to learn as much as I can from those who have been through it all. I’ve found many helpful people at the various adult webmaster forums including Cozy Forums, Klixxx, Zipped Sites, AWI and Oprano. When I found out about INTERNEXT I knew this was a must for me. Here I had the chance to finally put faces with the names I’ve run across in the forums, learn some more from all the speakers at the various seminars and generally get a good feel for what the industry really is at it’s grassroots level.

Needless to say I was very excited about going and didn’t really know what to expect, how to dress, what to bring etc. I live in Miami and that means the drive up to Hollywood, FL is only 30-45 minutes so I decided not to get a room and commute. I loaded up with business cards, brought camera, even had T-Shirts made. I wasn’t about to lose to opportunity to meet certain people and start getting my name out there to the world.

I found that all the seminars I attended to be helpful and I found the presenters to be very knowledgeable about their respective topics. Truth be told though I didn’t hear anything new there that I hadn’t heard on any of the above mentioned forums. In fact it did seem that the panel was having a conversation with each other more than presenting the audience with useful tips and information. That being said, I did walk away from the seminars with an better overall understanding of the business, if not anything more specific. The notes I took during the seminars were more of ideas that sprang to mind while listening and not necessarily pertinent to the discussions. All in all it was a valuable experience.

The time I spent out by the pool talking with some new found friends or walking around the exhibits meeting others, was far more beneficial for me. Hammer of Porn Site Pros was most helpful to me by introducing me around to people and kind of giving me a lay of the land so to speak. Gonzo of Oprano, Ronaldo of It’s Your Porn, Jason from FunBox, Kevin G from Klixxx Forum and so many others made my first experience at a convention a great experience.

Friday afternoon there was a bikini contest by the pool and you know there was absolutely no shortage of sexy women in bikinis at this convention! The winner won $5000! Now that’s a nice little chunk of change for walking around the pool in a bathing suit.

Now while there was some flashing and friendly girl/girl teasing you should know that the winner didn’t do any of that! She was really adorable. Beautiful body, sweet smile and overall very attractive in her bright blue bikini.

On Saturday night ccBill put on a fantastic feast for all attendees. There was live band, free drinks, free awesome buffet of everything from Cuban sandwiches to sushi and everything in between. They even had someone there hand-rolling cigars… yup, for free too. It was too bad it got cut a little short due to a big ‘ol nasty rain cloud that passed over. Actually we were lucky because just 2 days ago THAT storm that passed over us was hurricane Chris when it was south east of Puerto Rico. Thankfully it dissipated and it just help cool things off for a short time. Lots of people thought to wait out the light rain that was coming down and figured to keep partying. Hammer pointed out to me he smelled electricity and it occurred to us that the band’s equipment was getting wet and that’s when we decided to take some cover.

I also have a very distinct memory of watching Max Hardcore take pictures of his gorgeous girl dressed (barely) in a very sexy and tiny outfit while she crawled and slithered across the main fountain in the lobby of the hotel. The fountain is 30-40 yards long and there was this tall, sexy girl partly clothed making her way through the fountain very provocatively. Needless to say she drew a lot of attention both from the attendees with their cameras at the ready and the security with their radios at the ready. I don’t think the security said a thing to either of them. Not that Max could give a shit if they did anyway. I personally thought the security guards started to congregate to stop it but thought, “fuck it.” They weren’t doing anything extreme and she did look damn good in that fountain. Wish I got pics of that! But here’s a pic of her at the bikini contest.

Here I am standing with Denise. She used to be a professional bodybuilder and while the pic isn’t a full length shot you can see she has definitely kept her body in top shape. I’ve seen other pics of her around the net in the nude and I have to say I was always very impressed with her pictures. In pictures you may have a thought that she’s kind of a tough girl, but in my opinion after speaking with her for a short time, I found her to be the opposite. Really sweet, pleasant and very approachable. She’s really a beautiful girl. I only wish we had more time to talk and get to know each other. Maybe she’ll be at the next show.

I’m looking forward to the next show in January. INTERNEXT in Vegas?! Holy crap – If I thought this was overwhelming at times I can’t imagine what it will feel like in Vegas which can be overwhelming all by itself!
